Festival of Rejects Pink Moon at the Revelator

‘Pink Moon’ is an exhibition of 28 new works, from artists Joanne Pemberton, Lorraine Hamilton, and Esyllt Angharad Lewis The number of works references the 28 sections of the Revelator, which in turn alludes to the phases of the lunar cycle. These works are based on research and inspiration around the moon, its form, mythology and relationship to living beings. Working with a diverserange of media but primarily through sculpture and text, we will respond to the architecture of the space by using different gradients of colour, textures, materials, invitations to the audience, and sounds, all of which represent the many incarnations of the moon. Work for this exhibition began under April’s Pink Moon, and will end just before June’s Full Moon on the 21st, known as the Strawberry Moon.
